This page is for sharing the great ideas, campaigns, proposals, audio, commercials, sales tips and experiences of Connect member stations.

We know that out of our hundreds of member stations, thousands of proposals and campaigns, sales tips, ideas, commercials are being successfully run each week: here's where we'd like to hear about and share these stories and ideas with other stations, to work together to make the industry as strong as possible.

If you've run a campaign - for any kind of advertiser - that has worked, let us know.

If you've created a commercial that got a great response, let us know.

If you came up with a programing idea that sold locally and got results, let us know.

If you have a tip on managing sales teams, getting the best out of sellers or handling your sales manager - let us know.

The more we can share our ideas and resources, the better of we'll all be and the better prepared we'll be to survive and prosper through the next few quarters.

Submissions we receive will be posted up to this page. Users will also get a chance to leave comments as well. (For a full set of legal stuff about submitting your ideas / content, click here)

Local Link - Dental Success STory

Client: Dr. Tanya DeSanto, DDS
Situation: Dr. DeSanto had a standard dental practice, but wanted to branch out and focus on her new specialty, cosmetic dentistry. When we first spoke she was hesitant running standard commercials and was seeking something unique and different specifically for her. She was willing to go long-term if we could bring her such an idea.

Idea: On Saturday’s our news/talk station runs block programming for local advertisers in half-hour or hour increments. The client purchases this block of time and goes live on the air, sharing what they do, take callers and give input and advice. All shows must first be approved by our program director, and when I brought him the idea of “Let’s Talk Cosmetic Dentistry” he was unsure if it would drive calls but intrigued by the idea. In the summer of 2006 we sold Dr. DeSanto the show (Saturday mornings from 7:30-8a) with 15 commercials each week promoting the show.

The Result: Dr. DeSanto has been literally overwhelmed by the response to her show. Each week she receives dozens of calls, plus her practice became so busy she had to hire an additional dentist to take on all the work! She is a big believer in the power of radio and has told us to have businesses call her if they don’t think radio works. She just renewed her show for 2009 with no intention of every stopping.
